I love to read. And although the times they are a changin', I will never stop loving the smell of books. I understand that for some the electronic glow of shiny, new technology is irresistible...but when it comes to reading I'll take a musty, old, previously owned and marked up book to the electronic (albeit environmentally more aware) versions that keep popping up everywhere. Abebooks.com is my favorite place to buy books online because they sell previously used books (see? I can be environmentally aware and old fashioned all at once) but they also don't have a shady history of discriminating against and censoring GLBT books and authors like some other affordable online booksellers. *cough*amazon*cough*
The list of books I want to read and/or have read but would like to add to my personal collection grows every single day, but here is the running list as of today...click the picture at the top to check out my favorite book site. The bold titles are ones I want the most. Some of these books are YA (young adult) books, some are research topics I'm interested in, others are biography, still others are GLBT themed, etc. But I think all of them either deal with youth specifically or can be used to open discussion about young people...feel free to check some of them out, I think you might be pleasantly surprised.
